KUET Hosts Energy Fest 1.0 to Showcase Innovation and Sustainability

The Department of Energy Science and Engineering at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) is organizing "Energy Fest 1.0" on Friday, set to take place on the university campus. The event is expected to create a vibrant atmosphere with the participation of students, researchers, and guests from across the country.

For the first time, this festival will feature three categories of competitions designed to foster creativity and innovation among students. Participants will address real-world challenges in the energy sector by proposing innovative solutions, showcase design skills on CAD platforms, and present posters highlighting environmentally friendly alternative energy sources.

Through this initiative, the university aims to elevate the profile of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering on a national level and prepare students to face future challenges in the energy sector.

Speaking about the event, Assistant Professor and Fest Coordinator Md. Mahmudul Alam stated, "This festival is not merely a competitive event; it is a platform for students to develop their creativity and innovative capabilities. By bringing together talented students from different parts of the country, the event will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, opening new possibilities for innovation in the energy sector."

The event will be inaugurated by KUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Masud as the Chief Guest. Special guests will include Md. Mizanur Rahman, General Manager of Summit Power Limited, and Md. Shah Alam, Managing Director of RASS Associates Limited. The program will be chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammad Hasan Ali, Head of the Department of Energy Science and Engineering.
